Worship Opportunities at Zion

Zion offers two meaningful, distinctively different worship services which enable all people to praise God through word, sacrament, and music. Holy Communion is celebrated at each service.

SUNDAY – 9:15 A.M.

A contemporary service is offered on Saturday at 5:00 P.M. This service in the chapel uses contemporary music in a casual atmosphere to create a dynamic worship experience. Come as you are and join our faith family as we praise the Lord!

Music Ministries at Zion

Music has always played an important role in the worship life of Zion. Zion has several musical ministries to offer to the Glory of God. We are always looking for new members to join any of these music ministries.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir, a singing ensemble of mixed voices and ages, currently rehearses at 8:30 A.M. on Sunday morning and sings at the 9:15 worship service. The choir is open to anyone who likes to sing and enjoys performing choral music to enhance the worship experience.

The Gloria Dei Handbell Choir is a diverse ensemble of bell ringers of mixed ages. We are currently looking to rebuild this group by adding several new ringers. This ensemble enhances the 9:15 worship by ringing for psalm tones, embellishing hymns, and offering selections for the offertory or prelude. The ability to read music is a plus, but we will work with anyone who is interested.

The Zion Concert Series, originated in 1996, is dedicated to bringing fine music to Zion members and to the community. The series sponsors concerts twice a year performed by a variety of artists and groups.
 


The Contemporary Worship Team leads the Saturday service. It rehearses at 4:00 before the 5:00 Saturday service. It is open to singers, guitarists, and a drummer, who enjoy leading praise songs.
