Mission...

The church desires for such a preschool and child care center to aid parents in the task of building foundational learning skills, within and environment and employing a curriculum that is Christ-centered and Bible-based. Within this environment, teachers and support staff will champion Christian values so that young hearts and minds would be touched, formed, and influenced by the love of God, expressed in the teachings of scriptures, and in life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Goals and Purpose

The philosophy of Little Angels Preschool/Zion Child Development Center is geared towards encouraging the development of the total child. The center is designed to provide a Christian program of care and instruction for all children which will complement and enrich their spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Our goal is to offer a Christian-based, child-centered, developmentally appropriate program. Our staff believes that children learn best with a hands-on approach to learning using a variety of experiences. Daily activities, coupled with God’s love and understanding, will help your child become a happy, healthy, and responsible person.

In addition to the above, we plan:

  1. To help the child become more aware of himself/herself as a unique child of God and of his/her worth as a human being.
  2. To encourage the child’s feelings of self-worth, and to develop an attitude of cooperation and sharing.
  3. To provide an environment conducive to the development of gross and fine motor development.
  4. To establish appropriate modes of behavior in social situations.
  5. To reinforce the child’s life experiences with Christian ideals and cultural values.
  6. To provide an environment in which a child may develop his/her creativity.
  7. To help the child achieve a sense of independence appropriate to his/her age level of development.
  8. To create an atmosphere of love, happiness, and learning.
  9. To help prepare the child for kindergarten in the areas of language arts, math, science, social studies, socialization, and learning skills.
